SILENCE OF UNSPEAKABLE, 1985

poster made of photocopy paper pasted on a bus station, 66 X 108 inches

A full size poster was made from wheat-pasting the pages of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Tractatus book onto a bus station wall on the art school in Izmir. The title refers to the collective state of mind Turkey was in after the 1980 military coup. The poster was deemed illegal by the art school administration and taken down a few days later.
