Fight between Turkish army and Kurdish guerillas reached a peak in 1987 around the same time military started using camouflage uniforms for the first time as if to validate that the nation was in war. Streets were filled with idle soldiers clad in woodland camouflage  evoking images of Vietnam or Palestine. Artist was 22 years old and called to the obligatory military service but postponed due to his studies. Contemplating himself in a soldier mold, Vahap made a bust of his head, casted it 8 times and showed it on a pedestal with a large tarpaulin all submerged in camouflage pattern.
